Alpha Course offered February: Invite the seekers in your life. Alpha is a 7 week study in the basics of Christianity. Alpha is a wonderful and non-threatening way to introduce your friends to the Christian faith. Kick-off is Thursday February 6th at Red Radish 2 on Montreat College Campus at 8 pm! Together we will explore the claims of the Bible and ask/answer foundational questions like “who is God?” and “is there more to life than this?” We will meet 7 Thursdays; begin at 7 pm with a delicious catered meal from Red Radish (donations accepted), followed by a 40 minute video, and small group discussion. We plan to be done by 9.15 each evening. This is open to anyone regardless of where they are on their faith journey: seeker, new believer, or long-time follower of Christ.
The Alpha Course has been run for three consecutive semesters by Christ Community Church and Isight (our sister church). Alpha is used all over the world to invite unchurched and dechurched people to consider the Gospel. It's also a fantastic tool for mature believers to re-examine and appreciate their own faith. The winsome and approachable atmosphere of the Alpha Course makes it a great place to invite friends from anywhere on the faith spectrum. Come and join us to see why Alpha has been used so enthusiastically all over the world. For questions or to RSVP contact firstname.lastname@example.org or visit cccalpha.org.
Small Groups: Here at Christ Community Church we believe that growing in faith is facilitated within the context of community. Our excellent teaching on Sunday mornings is supported by opportunities for you to grow in the Word through regular Bible study in the context of small groups. Beginning in January (on the 29th) with our 2014 Connections Program we will be starting up our small groups again. If you are not currently in a small group and desire genuine community in a small group setting please give Edward Brouwer a call at 828.669.7577 or email him at email@example.com
Men's Prayer Breakfasts: We have several different locations where men meet to eat, share and pray together before their workday begins. Last Spring we completed a 12 week series called 33 a study on biblically authentic manhood at the Cove. We will meet again for 12 consecutive weeks starting January 7th at 6am at the Cove with completly new material. To register your intent to participate go to http://33.eventzilla.net or www.AmenBreakfast.com. Or to find another prayer group or location convenient to you call Edward Brouwer 828.669.7577, x203 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
