Adult Discipleship

Alpha Course offered this Fall: Invite the seekers in your life. Alpha is a 11 week study in the basics of Christianity. Nearly 18 million people around the world have taken the Alpha Course and it is estimated that 50% of course participants receive Christ or renew their faith. Alpha is a wonderful and non-threatening way to introduce your friends to the Christian faith. Invite someone to the kick-off dinner this August! Together we will explore the claims of the Bible and ask/answer foundational questions like “who is God?” and “is there more to life than this?” We will meet on Thursdays; begin with a delicious catered meal, followed by a 40 minute video, and small group discussion. This is open to anyone regardless of where they are on their faith journey: seeker, new believer, or long-time follower of Christ. Again this runs for 11 weeks with a meal each time starting at 6 and ending by 8 pm. Location: TBA. For questions or to RSVP contact edward.brouwer@cccmontreat.org or visit cccalpha.org.

Small Groups: Here at Christ Community Church we believe that growing in faith is facilitated within the context of community. Our excellent teaching on Sunday mornings is supported by opportunities for you to grow in the Word through regular Bible study in the context of small groups. Beginning in September with our Fall Connections Program we will be starting up our small groups again. If you are not currently in a small group and desire genuine community in a small group setting please give Edward Brouwer a call at 828.669.7577 or email him at edward.brouwer@cccmontreat.org

Men's Prayer Breakfasts: We have several different locations where men meet to eat, share and pray together before their workday begins. We just completed a series called 33 a study on biblically authentic manhood at the Cove. WE will meet the first Wednesday of the month at 6 am at the Cove during the summer. To register your intent to participate go to www.AmenBreakfast.com. Or to find another prayer group or location convenient to you call Edward Brouwer 828.669.7577, x203 or edward.brouwer@cccmontreat.org.
